Day 2 – 6th August 2011

Auld Reekie Roller Girls Present: Live Roller Derby! – 14:00hrs – Meadowbank Sports Centre

This was the first official day of the festival and me and the Girl kicked it off by not going to one of the main comedians or the doing the free fringe (although we did later in the day as you will see in the next post). Fringe Review Diary – Day 1 – Thinking and Drinking in a Hut

Day 1 – 5th August 2011

The Fringe festival officially starts on the 6th of August, but for 3 days before its start most of the paid for acts do preview showings for about half the price of the normal show in our case, five pounds. The preview showing is the entire act as it would be, but the performer(s) have yet to do the show in front of an audience, so this gives them a chance to iron out any creases there may be. My girlfriend decided to get a few of these in on day one.

We had both decided we would like to see Isy Suttie who was playing at the Pleasance Courtyard, and so we wouldn’t be running all over the city..The Hilly City…The fricking Mountainous City, we thought it best to grab another couple of acts at the same venue she was playing.
